Class B Companies... You can request a letter of recommendation from companies that are registered as regular members of OTAFF's regular member organizations.

Are companies affiliated with the Food Industry Council Class A companies?
The Food Industry Specified Skilled Workers Council and OTAFF Supporting Members are separate organizations. To confirm if your company is a supporting member, please check here: (https://otaff.or.jp/memberlist/ Supporting Members)
You are not a member of the Food Industry Council. Can I register my company?
When you decide to hire someone with Specified Skills Visa 1, you must join. Please confirm with the Specified Skills Industry Council for Food Industry, obtain your membership number, and then register your company.
Can registered support organizations use company applications?
Only companies operating in the food service or food and beverage manufacturing industries that directly employ Specified Skilled Workers can register for a Corporate My Page. While you cannot register for a Corporate My Page under the name of a support organization, it is permissible to act as an agent for the registration and other administrative tasks of a company that is eligible for registration, upon receiving a request from that company.
Can a hotel with an in-house restaurant apply as a company?
Yes. If you have a directly managed restaurant, you will be considered a "company engaged in the restaurant business that directly employs foreign nationals with specific skills," even if your primary business is accommodation. To register for the company's My Page, you will need to attach an image of your "Restaurant Business Permit."
If one company within your group handles recruitment, do I need to register a separate corporate My Page for each operating company to use the corporate application?
No. You can register for a corporate My Page with only one recruitment contact. From that company's corporate My Page, you can collectively register as an applicant and apply for exams for each business company. Even in this case, you will be charged the registration fee and usage fee for only one company. However, if you wish to manage each business site separately, please register your business sites from the [Business Site Registration] screen on your corporate My Page as the overall administrator.

Are there any benefits for candidates who apply through a company?
You can reserve up to 59 days in advance through your personal account page. However, when applying through your corporate account page, you can reserve up to 89 days in advance.
Can I take Exam 2 from my personal account page? Also, can Exam 2 be taken at an overseas venue?
You cannot take it. For Examination 2, you must register as a test-taker through the company's My Page. Also, you cannot take the exam outside of Japan. Please take the exam within Japan.
Can sole proprietors register for the corporate My Page?
Yes, it is possible. When registering company information, please select "Sole Proprietor" for the company classification.
Even if your company does not have a business license for food and beverage / restaurant operations, can it be registered if you have a contract with a company that operates a food and beverage / restaurant business?
We will confirm that you have a subcontract agreement and that your registered company is a member of the Japan Overseas Skill Corporation for the specified occupation, but registration is possible.
Why can the Specified Skilled Worker Visa (Tokutei Ginou 2) exam only be applied for through companies? (Why can't individuals apply through their personal mypage?)
To take the Specified Skills No. 2 examination, you must prove you have at least 2 years of experience in administrative practices and supervision. Because the company currently employing the foreign national who wishes to take the exam is the only entity that can certify their practical experience during their period of employment, we currently do not accept applications from individuals.
Registration fee and usage fee
I don't understand how to pay the registration fee or usage fee.
Invoices will be uploaded to the "Billing and Payment" page of your corporate-only My Page. Please select either credit card payment or Pay-easy payment for your company representative's payment. We will not send invoices by mail or any other method.
Do the registration and usage fees increase with the number of applicants?

We will charge a one-time registration fee of 5,500 yen (tax included) upon registration for the Company My Page.

If 21 or more new examinees are registered per year on one company My Page, no usage fees will be charged for registrations from the 21st person onwards, and exam reservations can be made immediately after OTAFF's examination is completed.

We do not offer refunds for any payments made, including registration fees, usage fees, examination fees, etc. Please review your order carefully before completing your payment.
Once a corporate member page is registered, will I have to pay an annual fee every year even if I don't use it?
No. For years in which there are no registered examinees, there will be no usage fee charged for that year.
Application for examination
Can foreign nationals currently working for our company as part-time employees apply for the exam if they have received a job offer as a full-time employee?
Companies in all company classifications from A to C can apply to take the exam. Please proceed with candidate registration by entering the necessary information, such as your passport and residence card, on the candidate registration screen.
Yes, individuals who are not currently employed but have received a job offer can take the exam.
Companies that are OTAFF supporting members (Category A) or companies recommended by a regular member (Category B) can apply to take the exam. Other companies (Category C) cannot apply to take the exam.
Can a candidate apply for the Specified Skilled Worker No. 2 examination?
It is possible.

8. **Review the booking:** Before confirming, carefully review all the selected exam details, dates, times, and participant information to ensure accuracy.
9. **Confirm and pay (if applicable):**
* Confirm the booking.
* If there is a cost associated with the exam, you will be prompted to make a payment. This might be through various payment methods like credit card, bank transfer, or an invoice option for corporate accounts.
10. **Receive confirmation:** After successful booking and payment, you should receive a confirmation email or notification. This confirmation will likely contain important details such as:
* Booking reference number
* Exam details (type, date, time, location if applicable)

The applicant will make the payment themselves. However, a company representative can also make the payment on their behalf.
